Global Operations UK beta test

by Rainier on Nov. 8, 2001 @ 4:00 p.m. PST

They have extended the Global Operations beta test to the UK now as well .. previously only people in the US were/are accepted but i guess they changed their minds (or they didnt have enough testers ;)

Global Operations is a stand alone, team based, first person shooter based on a significantly modified version of the LithTech 2.5 engine. Although it is being developed as a multiplayer experience for up to 24 players, there will also be a single player game with AI controlled team mates and opponents. The teams consist of real world special forces, peacekeepers, terrorists, rebel groups, and guerilla forces. The missions are loosely based on real life events that take place in various international locations such as Peru and Sri Lanka. Each of the 28 elite fighting forces in the game are based on the actual combatants in the real world location being portrayed. Due to the unprecedented interest in the Global Operations beta test in the US, we've extended the sign-up to the UK as well.
