Infogrames' top selling titles to be included in Kellogg's top selling cereal boxes
The Infogrames/Kellogg's cross promotion will be carried in 13 European Territories: France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Belgium and Italy during the first 10 months of 2002.
This unprecedented cross promotion has been tailored specifically to each country, whilst remaining broadly pan-European. Indeed, each country has selected 3-6 popular CD-ROM games from the top Infogrames titles and franchises; Heart of Darkness, Action Man Destruction X, Astérix Mega Madness, Lucky Luke Western Fever, SPY Fox, Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish, Putt-Putt, Alone in the Dark, Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, and Sheep-Dog & Wolf.
The mini-game CD-ROMs are attached to the front of the cereal boxes for top selling Kellogg's brands; Frosties, Choco Krispies, Coco Pops, Rice Krispies, Chocos, Smacks, Frosties Nuts, Chombos, and Miel Pops.
Since each CD-Rom is visible on the front of the cereal box, consumers can easily collect all six games.
This promotion will be advertised appropriately to the vast base of Kellogg's products consumers all over Europe.
"This unique cross promotion is demonstrating without doubt that video games are now a mass market entertainment in their own right and perfectly suits Infogrames' vision and strategy," commented Infogrames' Catherine Simon / V.P. Licensing Out Europe.
"PC based games is a growing and exciting area for Kids. This unique alliance enables Kellogg's to offer consumer exciting added value promotions whilst generating awareness and trial of the fantastic games marketed by Infogrames" - Kevin Brennan / Director European Marketing
