Max Payne Texture Tools

by Rainier on July 29, 2001 @ 1:12 p.m. PDT

Max Payne chronicles a lone man's nightmarish journey to the darkest depths of the criminal underworld in order to avenge the murders of his loved ones and make sense of a twisting web of betrayal and conspiracy.

Well my initial plans for the Texture extractor was to release it on 'day one' of MAX-Payne's release, but i have decided to hold back a few days more (i guess i can say "When its Done") this is basically to make the tools Bug Free and for General Polishing.

I plan on creating a *complete* set of tools to help MOD Developers, and basically make, MOD Creation a good bit easier than it currently is.

This package will be named/titled 'MAX-FX Plus!', and will have the following tools :

RasMAKER Pro - Basically you can now use RAS Maker with a Nice Windows GUI to work with, and do things a good bit easier than using Command Line.

MaxTEX - Tool for extracting the textures from '.ldb' files, then convert the textures to the usable bitmap format (for importation into the editor)

ScriptMAX - As the name suggests, this will be a simple front-end that 'automatically' generates the the Script files for your Level/MOD.

These tools will be out by around Next Friday, or possibly sooner! so if you people hold back a little, you will have a Nice new set of tools to Ease Mod Creation.
