CDV has a growing portfolio of PC titles covering genres from real-time strategy games to first person shooters and role-playing games. The company sources titles from the very best European development teams and is known for its ability to spot a potentially brilliant studio and nurture its talents.
The new titles on show at ECTS 2001 will all be shown running playable code and with representatives from the development companies on hand to give in-depth demonstrations. Senior personnel from both the German head office and the UK office will also be on stand to meet with business partners and the press.
Divine Divinity
This classic RPG spans over 20,000 screens and featuring some of the most detailed and intricately animated graphics ever seen in the genre. With some highly original spells and non-playing characters each with their own motivations and intelligence, Divine Divinity is a challenging and absorbing game that will be eminently replayable as well.
Neocron
Neocron is the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online RPG) developed by Reakktor Media that has got everyone talking. Over 62,000 people have applied to take part in the beta test schedule which begins in September, wanting to immerse themselves in Neocron's post-Apocalyptic Blade Runner-style universe. Whether you wish to live life in the 28th century as a law-abiding citizen or regularly take to the holographic deathmatch arenas, there is something for everyone in the vast city of Neocron.
Cossacks: The Art Of War
This year's runaway real-time strategy chart-topper Cossacks: European Wars has been strengthened and enhanced with the addition of new maps and 35 new features, including four new countries, new campaigns, and extending further into the turbulent political environment of 19th century Europe. The add-on that everyone has been waiting for will be released on the PC at the end of March 2002.
Escape From Alcatraz
This fast-moving action-strategy game, being developed by Philoslabs, has a steampunk look and a gothic atmosphere all its own, and is already attracting much attention from games commentators for its unusual themed prison settings and strong characterisation. Players will need their wits about them to free rebels from a series of prisons before attempting the big breakout - from Alcatraz itself.
Project Nomads
With Project Nomads, CDV proves that no other publisher comes close when it comes to creating highly playable, in-depth strategy games. Nomads challenges you to rebuild a future world shattered into fragments by an unknown holocaust, and features some ingenious modes of transport, entwined in a plot with many hidden twists and turns.
Imperium Galactica 3: Genesis
This epic space opera reaches its third and most devastating incarnation yet in Genesis. Hungary's Philoslabs have placed the emphasis firmly on action, and the player will find themselves battling against alien technology in order to be able to recolonise an occupied earth.
Breed
There are no rules and no limits when the future of mankind is at stake. In this game of all-out combat and action on a grand scale, being developed by UK company Brat Designs, players will go into battle with a vast array of weaponry and vehicles at their disposal.
WarCommander
CDV returns to World War II with WarCommander, portraying on the PC the scene of one of the biggest invasions in history - the Normandy landings. Using a real-time strategy-based engine, the landings themselves and the hours and days following are faithfully re-created in missions requiring stealth, forethought and a sound knowledge of military strategy.
CDV will be exhibiting on stand no 1610 at ECTS 2001 from September 2 until September 4.
