Randy Pitchford, from Gearbox Software (creators of Half-Life: Opposing Force and the man behind the stunning HALF-LIFE conversion for PlayStation 2) will be visiting the UK on September 25th. Randy will be presenting the new version of the PlayStation 2 game and discussing the Half-Life phenomenon – the recipient of over 50 top gaming accolades.

With Gearbox Software currently putting the finishing touches to what many feel will be the PlayStation 2 game of the year, Randy will be holding court in the downstairs cinema area of the Covent Garden Hotel. The event starts at 14:30, after which Randy will demonstrate the hugely improved PlayStation 2 version of Half-Life on the venue’s huge cinema screen. The Gearbox boss will then be available for an open Q&A session regarding the Half-Life phenomenon. The itinerary for the day is as follows:

14:30: Arrive at Covent Garden Hotel. Drinks and Coffee. Full behind-the-scenes presentation of Half-Life for PlayStation 2 in Cinema room
16:00: Q&A session with Randy Pitchford
16:30: Event ends

With Half-Life already being tipped as a potential Christmas number one, this will be the only chance to meet the Gearbox face-to-face and to gain a valuable insight into this ground-breaking gaming phenomenon.
