by Rainier on Oct. 15, 2002 @ 6:27 p.m. PDT

Video game publisher Gotham Games announced the launch of the official Web site for Serious Sam, which enters the next-gen console market this fall exclusively on the Microsoft Xbox. Serious Sam puts players in control of Sam "Serious" Stone, the only man that has what it takes to repel the alien forces determined to turn planet Earth into their personal trash can.

In this first-person shooter, Sam will have to battle through 36 insane levels and hack, blast and annihilate more that 100 creatures attacking simultaneously from land, air and water trying to put Sam six-feet under. Featuring intense action, vast indoor and outdoor environments with amazing color and detail and more baddies on-screen than any other game, only "Serious" gamers should enter the world of Serious Sam.

The Web site for Serious Sam is focused on introducing the Serious Sam franchise to console gamers. By browsing the site, Sam fans will be able to use all of Sam’s weapons, meet all of Sam’s foes, and hear Sam’s words of wisdom in the "Sam Stuff" section. Those visiting the site will also be able to read an interview with Croteam, the creators of Serious Sam.

Those who are prepared to truly get serious should visit the official website to be enculturated into the Serious Sam universe.
