by Rainier on Oct. 9, 2002 @ 10:11 p.m. PDT

BIG NEWS! Every Wednesday from now until mid-November has been designated as “WWII theme day”. This means that every Wednesday we will put up NEW content from Strategy First's upcoming WWII strategy titles, "GI Combat Episode 1: Battle of Normandy" (Freedom Games) and "Hearts of Iron" (Paradox Entertainment). Read more for details and 10 brand new screens from each game.

“The only thing these titles have in common is the time period and the quality of gameplay,” says Pro Sotos, Product Manager for Strategy First. “GI Combat is a 3D RTS from the team that brought us the Close Combat series while Hearts is a pure strategy game that is from the team that mastered the Europa Universalis games. We couldn’t be happier to be working on both titles.”

GI Combat Episode 1: Battle of Normandy will ship to stores on October 29 and Hearts of Iron will arrive on November 12. Both titles will be distributed exclusively in North America by Infogrames.
