'Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy' (GBA) Ships To Stores

Ubi Soft Entertainment announced Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy has shipped to retail stores nationwide. Making its debut on Nintendo GameBoy Advance, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy features a new original story written exclusively for the console. The game also features a new, quasi-3D view, an impressive set of spectacular 3D animations, and an improved combat system specific for the GameBoy Advance. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy is rated "T-Teen" and available for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

"Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy packs the same sizzling action and cheeky humor that made the sexy vixen, Lara Croft, famous," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing for Ubi Soft Entertainment. "The game's original story, amazing animations and GBA-customized combat system push Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy beyond any Tomb Raider handheld game before it."

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy showcases a combat system customized for the GameBoy Advance, which highlights the 3D-type gameplay that made the Tomb Raider series a tremendous success. Starring gaming's sexiest leading heroine, Lara Croft, Tomb Raider: The Prophecy features spectacular animations for Lara and its enemies. Additionally, the game also features real time character shadows -- Lara's shadow will be actively generated in real time.

Other game features include:

  • Secret Areas: levels will feature numerous secret areas to discover, hidden passages, shortcuts, etc
  • Big Enemies: Lara will face menacing enemies, including both humans and creatures during her quest
