After cases like Return to Castle Wolfenstein in Germany and Grand Theft Auto 3 in Australia, it looks like next interesting problem is approaching. This time it's aiming to upcoming action/driving title Mafia: City of Lost Heaven game by Czech-based Illusion Softworks.

According to Ananova, Italian police is trying to ban upcoming game Mafia in that country. The biggest problem associates with headline on Italian box of the game, which says: "The instruction manual for wannabe mafiosi". In Ananova's article, there are also quotes by president of Italian national anti-mafia police Roberto Centaro and by Italian minister Carlo Taormina, which are both for Mafia ban on Italian market.

We've asked lead deasigner of Mafia, Daniel Vávra from Illusion Softworks, which told us his viewpoint to Ananova's story: "It can say only someone, who haven't seen the game yet and don't know, what it's all about. Mafia isn't promotion or manual, this is absolutely out-of-the-way." Vávra also confirmed to us, that note on the box, mentioned above, is only activity of local italian distributor, Cidiverte, and that international slogan for the game's box wasn't set yet.
