BAM! Entertainment today announced that it is to publish Riding Spirits for the Sony PlayStation 2. BAM! released its first PlayStation 2 title, Driven, less than three months ago and plans to stay in the fast lane with its next high adrenalin race game.

Riding Spirits is an exhilarating, fast paced motorcycle racing game currently being developed by Japanese publisher and development studio Spike. An experienced multi-platform developer, Spike are best known for the beat 'em up hit, Fire Pro Wrestling, which BAM! launched on the Game Boy® Advance last summer. Riding Spirits is scheduled to ship to stores in June this year.

"We are very pleased to boost our PlayStation 2 line-up so rapidly and with such an excellent title," said Anthony Williams, Managing Director at BAM! Entertainment. "Riding Spirits represents high quality gameplay from a top Japanese software house."

Riding Spirits offers more than 150 licensed super-bikes and motorcycles from some of the world's best bike manufacturers including Honda, Yamaha®, Suzuki®, and Kawasaki. Featuring an advanced graphics engine and physics engine that meticulously models the actual look and performance of each bike, players in Riding Spirits compete in a variety of racing circuits to gain the money needed to customize their bike or to purchase new ones. Other game modes include an arcade style Quick Race, a death defying high speed Time Attack, as well as Versus modes.
