Downforce (GBA) - Official Announcement

Adorning a leather jumpsuit and sitting on a new set of rubbers, Titus Software is all set to enter the highly oiled world of ‘no rules’ motor racing with Downforce, due to be published for Game Boy Advance in May 2002. We already posted some screens several days ago, but here is the official announcement.
A group of drivers and teams have split from the Formula 1 Championship, after being held back by rules and regulations for too long. Races have become boring with overtaking and pure racing at an all-time low. The new racing league has been condemned as too dangerous and banned from using circuits around the world. The races instead take place in and around major cities. The cars use all the technology available today, to increase speed and ‘downforce’. With less stringent rules, teams have worked in different directions creating a wide variety of enhanced super cars.
Featuring up to ten cars and drivers and eight different tracks, Downforce will offer Game Boy Advance players adrenaline-fuelled speed across four different game modes including Arcade Trophy, Time Attack, Free Race and Championship. The city-based tracks included in Downforce are incredibly detailed and vehicle handling and speed have been fine-tuned to give players the look and feel of ‘the real thing’.
With a whole host of piston-pumping sound and graphical effects, Downforce looks set to overtake the pack when it roars under the chequered flag in May.
