by Rainier on June 18, 2002 @ 12:34 a.m. PDT

Got Game Entertainment today announced that upcoming PC action game, Tsunami 2265, will ship August 5, 2002. We scored a few screens and there will be a review coming up real soon. Looks pretty nice to be honest...

Developed by Prograph, Tsunami 2265 promises a perfect combination of action, story, and vibrant anime-style 3D graphics. A futuristic tale set in a Japan devastated by an epic seaquake, the game offers two game modes: destructive shooter and intriguing arcade phases. Tsunami 2265 features 13 levels of game play, including 8 different sets, as well as 20 different Mechs. Also background interactive, players will find themselves pulling down massive fortresses, dams, and bridges in amazing shoots-out.

"The features that set Tsunami 2265 apart are the Manga look, along with an involving tale that grabs the player from the start and keeps interest high with frequent, great, real-time sequences," said Sergio Rocco, Progaph's Head of Graphics.

In this third person shooter, players can control two main characters, a samurai and a ronin, Naoko Hikari and Neon Shima. Various other characters integrated in the story can change the player's destiny. For those ready to start riding the adrenaline wave, Got Game has posted a demo HERE.
