by Rainier on June 28, 2002 @ 6:01 p.m. PDT

STRATEGY FIRST announced today that it has acquired the North-American publishing rights for PC games, MISTMARE and HANNIBAL from premier European publisher, ARXEL TRIBE.
“This collaboration has STRATEGY FIRST very excited about bringing Hollywood to the computer screen with Hannibal,” said Steve Wall, V.P. of Acquisitions for STRATEGY FIRST. “It allows us to delve into the mainstream market and target an audience that we are just discovering. At the same time, our existing fan base of hard core gamers will enjoy the mix of fantasy and RPG in Mistmare.”

Guillaume de Fondaumière, THE ARXEL GUILD’s Chairman and CEO said, “ARXEL TRIBE is very excited about this partnership. We are confident that this will enable us to establish our brand in North America and bring the titles to the top. Mistmare and Hannibal are two enormous projects and we wanted to have a strong partner for these two titles on this very important territory. Our work with STRATEGY FIRST in Europe has been a very positive experience for both companies and this new agreement confirms our great compatibility.”

HANNIBAL - The Game

Developed by ARXEL TRIBE, HANNIBAL is a state-of-the-art action-thriller based on Universal Studio’s movie, Hannibal, directed by Ridley Scott. The game, developed on Lithtech’s high-end JUPITER engine, will be launched in March 2003, shortly after the release of RED DRAGON, the movie sequel to The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, scheduled for release in November 2002 in North America.

MISTMARE

Developed by ARXEL TRIBE, MISTMARE is a fantasy RPG set in troubled Middle-Age where players join Isador, the inquisitor monk on an epic journey through Europe ravaged by years of conflict. The game will be published in North America and in Europe in Q4/2002.
