'Enigma : Rising Tide' Goes Gold

Tesseraction Games, Inc. announced today it has gone Gold with the limited edition offline version of ENIGMA: RISING TIDE, its upcoming massively-multiplayer cinematic naval combat game. The game’s release is scheduled for September 27. ENIGMA: RISING TIDE will be available for purchase over the Internet from Gigex ( and other online sites for a price of $20, which will include, upon registration, a free 30-day subscription to the multiplayer game.

“It’s an incredible moment for us,” said Tesseraction Games President Kelly Asay. “I’m very proud of our team. We’re excited about completing this phase of our Enigma project. We are also excited to be breaking new ground with an internet only release of an offline version of an online game.”

“The offline version makes for a unique and adrenaline-filled experience,” he said. “It provides training for those players who want to be competitive when the online version comes around, and it lets the more casual gamer taste the thrill of naval combat.”

ENIGMA: RISING TIDE customers will get Training Missions, Quick Patrols, a Submarine Campaign, and a Surface Ship Campaign. Features include Voice Command and Control, an intuitive, easy-to-learn interface, an original musical score by Tim Clarke, and realistic ocean effects that add a totally new dimension to tactics. Internationalization of the offline version of ENIGMA: RISING TIDE will begin immediately on French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and
Korean language translations. Support for additional languages is planned.

Tesseraction Games continues development on its flagship project, the massively-multiplayer online version of ENIGMA: RISING TIDE, which has been re-targeted for a later release.

ENIGMA: RISING TIDE is an exciting, massively-multiplayer game featuring fast-paced ship-to-ship battles with very high player densities. The multiplayer game software will be available free-of-charge, and following an initial free trial period, players will register and pay a monthly subscription fee. In addition to tracking its persistent storyline, Tesseraction Games plans to release upgrades and expansions every three months for the life of the game, also at no charge to subscribers.
