'Pillars of Garendall' - New Plug-In

by Rainier on Sept. 28, 2002 @ 12:37 a.m. PDT

The Pillars of Garendall fan community united with Coldstone developers since the release to create all sorts of add-ons for this role-playing game by Ambrosia Software and Beenox. One of those add-ons, Trinity, added numerous classes to choose from, new locations to explore, and new quests to the already amazing world of Garendall. Now you can download Spells Expander for free and enjoy a whole new gaming experience! Read more for details and links...

Pillars of Garendall is a huge (120mb+) epic fantasy role playing game created by Beenox using the Coldstone game engine. You'll need a sharp-edged blade and a heart of steel to make it through this unique action-oriented role playing game. Both Macintosh and Windows users can explore Garendall's dream-like sprawling world and intricately woven tapestry of a story. Pillars of Garendall even has extensive support for plugins, which allow the game to be expanded far beyond the confines of its original design.

Pillars of Garendall is available now for Mac OS (native for Mac OS X), and for Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP (Direct X 8 and QuickTime 5 required).

We are pleased to announce the release of Spells Expander, a free plugin for Pillars of Garendall made by Mike Zeman, that adds:

  • 25 new spells from spell levels 1-6
  • Several spell or item oriented quests
  • 4 new locations to the world
  • New items for the conjuror, swordsman, and ranger classes
  • Trinity expansion required (also available for free!)

"This is exactly the kind of synergy we want to see between the Coldstone community and Coldstone-based game creators", says Beenox's president Dee Brown, "Coldstone not only gives you the power to create your own worlds, but let others expand your vision."
