'AquaNox 2: Revelation' - Screens

by Rainier on Jan. 17, 2003 @ 9:10 a.m. PST

Set in the year 2666, events in AquaNox 2: Revelation run simultaneously to the action in the original AquaNox game. After years of destruction, the land on planet Earth is no longer fit for human habitation. To continue their existence, humans descend into the oceans. The oceans now provide the stunning backdrop for the fierce power struggles and exciting battles which are now commonplace for life underwater. Chekc out the new screens ...

AquaNox 2: Revelation sees players take the role of William Drake, a freighter pilot who trawls the oceans delivering food and supplies to outposts within the distant Tornado Zone. Bored with his job and life, Drake secretly craves adventure like the mercenaries who bravely battle evil in the world of Aqua. Unfortunately Drake is still young and as the game begins, players will find that once again his impatience and naivety have resulted in being left in dangerous situations confronted by powerful enemies. As Drake journeys onward into the unknown, he meets the beautiful May Ling, the best fighter pilot around. However, as they both become embroiled in evermore deadly battles against terrifying enemies which could see either of them die at any time; May Ling begins to fall in love with the enigmatic William Drake...

The AquaNox 2: Revelation story interface within the game has been superbly designed to mimic the interior of the city or freighter where the player is located. The fully-rendered backdrop will allow players to interact with characters that feature within the gripping plot and have access to the mechanics who will be able to equip vehicles with weapons and upgrades.

The Combat Interface will take gamers into first person mode inside the cockpit of one of the four vehicles. From here, all the relevant information can be seen whilst providing a stunning view of the real-time action.

Commenting on the game, Colin Grant, Marketing Manager of JoWooD Productions said: "The AquaNox 2: Revelation plot twists and turns more than a rattlesnake with a hernia. Combine this with the huge variety of characters with more charisma than Kriss Akabusi and Mr Motivator put together and AquaNox 2: Revelation is guaranteed to take players to a new level in quality gaming."

AquaNox2: Revelation for PC CD Rom will have an SRP of £29.99 and an ELSPA rating of 15+ when the game has its UK launch in Q1 2003.
