by Thomas on Feb. 11, 2003 @ 3:15 a.m. PST

AlienPants Ltd has been contracted by Nicely Crafted Entertainment, creators of the Massively Multiplayer Real Time Strategy Game Time of Defiance to provide Public Relations for the company and the game. AlienPants will bring their expertise in large online communities to assist Nicely Crafted in raising the profile of Time of Defiance in the UK and Europe, as well as managing the release of information regarding the monthly updates.

"We firmly believe that Time of Defiance is one of the best kept secrets on the Internet, and it is from that basis that we feel we can help Nicely Crafted let the world know about this game" said AlienPants CEO, Tom Gordon.

"Massively Multiplayer games are all about the community and players, and we're very excited to have AlienPants on board", said NiCE managing director, Toby Simpson. "Their enormous experience of on-line communities and games will be vital for us as we grow Time of Defiance and the company over the coming months and years."

Time of Defiance is a massively multiplayer real time strategy game based upon many thousands of small floating islands on the remains of the planet of Nespanona. The Cog people are locked into a battle of supremacy with each other. The player takes on the role of one of the COG tribes and plays against hundreds or thousands of other players to gain control of the Northern Continent. The players expand their empires through exploration, negotiation, war or peace - using the strategies and tactics of their choice. There are no artificial players, and every empire found belongs to another human being. Typical games last for four weeks, although many other combinations are possible. Time of Defiance launched on-line at the end of August 2002, and is currently available to download from http://www.nicelycrafted.com with a free 8-day trial period.
