An initial eighteen players, making up two opposing teams, were hand-selected to compete against each other in the first ever baseball game hosted online. Netamin hosted two games, and the players performed like the pros. In the second game, competition was fierce during the action-packed three innings, with the visiting team beating the home team by an extremely slim margin of five runs to four. As the “series” progresses, the number of alpha testers asked to participate will continue to increase. More games are scheduled this Friday and Saturday. Details for registered members can be obtained at the following address.
Ultimate Baseball Online accurately re-creates the exciting world of baseball online, where each position is manned by a real player who can join in various leagues and hone his or her pitching, fielding and batting skills. The final version of the game will be available to audiences globally in summer 2003.
