Kemco Signed Up With Vidis For Germany

by Thomas on Feb. 24, 2003 @ 4:31 a.m. PST

Kemco and Vidis, two veterans of the games industry, agreed exclusive distribution for all Kemco-titles for the German market... Since 1984, Kemco has produced over 100 titles including the popular Top Gear racing games and Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle series for a wide variety of video game platforms. An original Nintendo licensee, Kemco works closely with DC Comics, Warner Bros. and Universal Studios on ongoing video game projects. Currently Kemco's development teams are creating games for Nintendo's next generation platforms, as well as Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft's Xbox.

About Vidis:
Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, with subsidaries in Hong Kong and Johannesburg, and exclusive distributors in many European territories, Vidis is widely known as an accessory expert rather than a software publisher. Even so Vidis started as the German distributor for Activision, Epyx, Imagic and some other famous brands in the early days of Video Gaming in 1983. Since then Vidis represented the accessory-brands of Nuby, Mad Catz and Gamester in the German speaking countries, before it built up its own brand "Brooklyn" in 2000.
Starting with Kemco (e.g. Batman: Dark Tomorrow, Top Gear Rally, Woody Woddpecker) and Enlight (e.g. Restaurant Empire/Restaurant Gigant) Vidis is using its excellent contacts and reputation to represent developers and publishers for all formats in the German-speaking territory again.

First Kemco-titles to be released:
Batman: Dark Tomorrow for Xbox (March 28th, 2003)
Batman: Dark Tomorrow for Game Cube (March 28th, 2003)
Top Gear Rally for GBA (May 2003)
Batman: Dark Tomorrow for PS2 (Sept. 2003)
