The first video game of its kind, Lowrider simulates the American phenomenon of lowriding – sprucing up cars, lowering the floor to the legal limit, and outfitting them with major hydraulics, booming sound systems, and detailed artistry to compete against other vehicles in hops, dances and cruise shows. Lowrider enables single and multi-players to compete in tournament and street events in five U.S. cities. Lowrider offers an authentic experience with 18 different vehicles, 18 categories of car upgrades, and a custom paint tool for personalized hood ornamentation.
Lowrider ‘Round The World was originally published for the Japan market in December 2002 on PlayStation®2 by PCCW-Japan, parent company of the US-based Jaleco Entertainment. The North American version will include updated video footage, additional vehicles and a new soundtrack.
“Lowriding is a growing culture in the US and abroad and the game Lowrider effectively provides a fun and authentic experience that has never before been available,” said Producer Quincy Roach.
More information on this title will be made available in the spring.
