Gameloft today announces the release of its wireless game: Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. Adapted from the console stealth action game of the same name (best-selling XBox title for the 2002 holiday season soon available for PC, PlayStation2 and Nintendo GameCube), the wireless version is an explosive mix of platform action game and infiltration game. Hours of fun guaranteed, with a truly great game title on your cell phone!
"Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell fits in perfectly with Gameloft’s strategy of bringing the best licenses and high-quality gaming to wireless platforms.” says Mathieu Rolland, General Manager for Gameloft North America. “The title has already been named ‘best console-to-mobile game port yet’ by Wireless Gaming Review.”
“Ubi Soft is very happy about the quality of Gameloft's version of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell”, said Tony Kee, VP of marketing for Ubi Soft US. “The original gameplay and the character design are incredibly faithfull to the console title. All good ideas we loved in the XBox version have been saved here. Sam Fisher fans won't have to wait long!”
Now it couldn’t be easier for users of Java and BREW enabled phones to download Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell onto their cell phones and play when and where they want. Once installed, the game can be played offline whenever the spirit moves you.
Available initially for the Motorola T720, Nokia 3650 and Nokia 7210, LG VX4400, it will later be ported to other Java and Brew devices on the market.
