"Foundations," a free expansion that allows player and guild owned housing in the world of "Dark Age of Camelot," now boasts a burgeoning real estate economy that exceeds the actual number of homes purchased in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. combined in the month of June.
"With 20,000 pieces of property sold in less than six weeks, 'Camelot' players have flocked to purchase their very own houses," said Walter Yarbrough, Content Producer for Mythic Entertainment. "From minstrel to mystic, the housing system of 'Foundations' provides everyone the opportunity to own and furnish a very functional home, where commerce and comfort mix."
About "Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations"
"Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations" is a downloadable free expansion that adds player and guild housing to the popular massively multiplayer
online role-playing game, "Dark Age of Camelot." Players can purchase private homes utilizing the innovative reverse-auction process and customize their
residence with gardens, furniture, pictures, and much more. Also, houses can serve as storage facilities and venues for selling player-crafted items.
The "Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations" expansion is available for download at www.camelotherald.com/housing, as well as on the recently released
"Dark Age of Camelot: Gold Edition" and the July cover disc of Computer Gaming World magazine. Versions of "Foundations" are available for both the
original "Dark Age of Camelot" and "Dark Age of Camelot: Shrouded Isles," the game's first retail expansion.
