'XGRA: Extreme-G Racing' Blasts Into Retail

Pulling more G's and packing more firepower than an F-16, Acclaim Entertainment today announced that it has shipped XGRA: Extreme-G Racing Association for the PS2. The company will release the game for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft on September 16th, and for the Nintendo GameCube in October. Developed by Acclaim Studios Cheltenham, XGRA: Extreme-G Racing Association is the latest installment in the Company's award-winning Extreme-G Racing brand that has sold more than 1.5 million units worldwide. Combining futuristic, high-speed motorcycle racing and combat, XGRA: Extreme-G Racing Association features all new gameplay modes, features, weapons, bikes, controls and unlockable content.

XGRA: Extreme-G Racing Association includes:

  • 8 different teams, all with unique histories, sponsors and rivalries;
  • Variable missions and storylines that make each race part of a larger career;
  • A game structure designed to emulate a true motor sport season with various classes and race types;
  • Variety of different and completely modifiable vehicle types;
  • Wide range of characters, each with skills and statistics that affect how they race;
  • Rewards system that provides unlockable content, including new game modes and tracks, faster bikes and character-enhancing cybernetic implants;
  • Environments that bring worlds to life, highlighted by variable weather systems and uniquely constructed tracks and buildings;
