1.1. World View

In the main play mode, the World View is the main view and is meant to be a nice miniature representation of medieval Europe. It shows the entire European continent with all the important landmarks, such as the Thames, Alps or Scottish Highlands etc.

Three categories of small objects dot the terrain: geographical, static and live objects.

The geographical objects are an integral part of the world and won’t change during the course of the game.

The objective of this view is to display the King’s duties from a strategic point of view so that he may manage his Kingdom on a global basis. The player can issue high level commands to his Realms, local representatives, armies and units.

He can also obtain vital strategic information on his enemies and other Realms / Kingdoms. He will also be able to identify possible threats, to plan conquests and much more.

The player will always have the feeling of being in total control and could quite possibly play the entire game from here. However, the player can use the Close View to zoom in on specific events or conditions, providing the player with a much closer look at the scenery. This happens seamlessly, without delays or loading time.

1.2. Close View

This view provides a much closer view of the game world. It can be accessed from the World View on fixed occasions such as battles, sieges etc. and at specific locations such as farmland, towns etc..

It contains exactly the same objects as the World View but bigger and more detailed. In addition to the objects displayed in the World View a multitude of animated animals, plants, obstacles, units and structures here enrich the game world's atmosphere.

In this view the player can lead battles, lay sieges or just sit back and watch daily medieval life.
