About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

'Konung 2' Ships to Stores

Got Game and Merscom today announced that "Konung 2" for PC has shipped to retail across North America. The game retails for $19.99 and is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB for Blood and Fantasy.

A unique fantasy role-playing game (RPG) with real-time strategy (RTS) and adventure elements, "Konung 2" is set in the dark and complex atmosphere of ancient Scandinavia where history combines with age-old myths and legends, immortal heroes, magical artifacts, and ancient sorcery.

In the role of six warrior heroes, each with distinctive characteristics, your quests take you through the dense forests, watery moors, rocky outcroppings and barren fields of this mystical world of magic and legend. Enemy armies, revered sorcerers, and common villagers must be fought, mastered, and managed with developed skills ranging from fist-fighting to archery, as well as alchemy, wizardry, healing, masonry, and more.

Continuing the "Konung" tradition of going beyond action-style role-playing by offering adventure-style gameplay with dozens of quests and a strong storyline, "Konung 2" also offers striking improvements to the tradition. New and improved game features include:

  • Enhanced RPG system with a wide range of character skills and features
  • Better, more varied, fighting techniques
  • Improved AI
  • Dozens of quests
  • Detailed dialogue system
  • Additional RTS elements, such as extensive settlement management
  • New monsters
