Tecmo announced today that its Xbox exclusive multi-player online mech-action game, GunGriffon: Allied Strike, plans to swoop its way onto store shelves next week with a ship date of Tuesday, December 14, 2004. GunGriffon: Allied Strike, boasts full Xbox Live compatibility that supports up to eight players and three different online modes, Co-Op Play, Death Match, and Team Death Match.

GunGriffon: Allied Strike takes place in a hostile futuristic world where there is little hope for survival among the human race. The earth's resources have been exhausted and people are continuously splitting into groups to fight for what is left of it.

The player takes on the role of a renegade soldier, enlisted in an anti-tank troop, whose prime mission is to take down armored tanks, the ultimate ground weapon used to destroy the earth and any living thing that gets in its way. The player uses their entrusted machine called a "High Mac" (High-Mobility Armored Combat System) to fight the battery of armed soldiers and sinister machines that await them on the battlefield. Boasting full Xbox Live compatibility with a multi-player online mode and a variety of exciting missions, the new GunGriffon: Allied Strike offers an exhilarating and realistic war spin on mech-action games.

GunGriffon: Allied Strike, for Xbox, will explode onto store shelves December 14, 2004 with a suggested retail price of $49.99 and an ESRB rating of Teen.
