Race Track
For fans of betting on horse races, Lineage II now has a race track of its own. But instead of horses, the races are between monsters. So imagine an eight lane track with unicorns, wild animals, beasts and various objects running against each other, and where the winning creature pays off in golden adena to those who choose correctly.
The races take place every 30 minutes during daylight hours in the game. Twenty minutes before the race, players can review the monster's names, racing histories and track conditions, then purchase a ticket for the monster they hope will win. The number of ticket buyers and the pay-out rates will determine the amount of adena that the winners will divide up. It is very similar to "parimutuel" betting popular at horse race tracks around the world.
Also, there are two ways for players to bet, either by selecting a single winner or by selecting two monsters to finish first and second regardless of order. The second betting method is called a "quinnella bet" at a real-world race track.
Lottery
The in-game lottery is Lineage II's version of running numbers. It is a five number lottery that occurs several times a week in real-time. Players can win the lottery if they match as few as two numbers and winners who select all five numbers collect 60 percent of the pot of adena collected from lottery ticket sales.
