Effective December 23, 2004, Encore will be responsible for sales, distribution and marketing activities for the Hoyle family of products, subject to certain OEM, foreign and digital distribution as well as on-line gaming website rights reserved by VU Games.
"The sale of the Hoyle product line is consistent with our strategy of focusing on core games franchises," said Bruce Hack, CEO of VU Games. "Our agreement with Encore is beneficial for both companies, as it will allow us to focus on our respective strengths in interactive entertainment."
The Hoyle franchise includes casual games such as Hoyle Casino, Hoyle Card Games and Hoyle Puzzle and Board Games.
