by Rainier on May 27, 2004 @ 8:55 p.m. PDT

Catwoman is based upon the DC Comics character. The film and game follow the story of Patience Phillips, who is killed after she uncovers a dark secret held by her employers. Brought back to life by a rare Egyptian cat, she becomes Catwoman and sets out to discover the truth about herself and her murderer

In addition, she can use her whip to swing through the air, and utilize the fully interactive enviroments to trap or knock her foes unconcious. The game will take players through numerous levels set in seven different locations from the movie.

A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, Catwoman is the story of shy, sensitive artist Patience Philips (Halle Berry). When Patience inadvertently happens upon a dark secret her employer is hiding, she finds herself in the middle of a corporate conspiracy. In a mystical twist of fate, she is transformed into a woman with the strength, speed, agility and ultra-keen senses of a cat. With her newfound prowess and feline intuition, Patience becomes Catwoman, a sleek and stealthy creature balancing on the thin line between good and bad. Produced by Denise DiNovi and Ed McDonnell and directed by Pitof, Catwoman also stars Benjamin Bratt, Sharon Stone and Lambert Wilson.

The screenplay is by John Rogers and John Brancato & Michael Ferris, from a story by John Rogers, based on the comic book characters in D.C. Comics' Batman publications. Catwoman was created by Bob Kane in the Batman series for DC Comics in the 1940's and has appeared in numerous Batman comics throughout the decades.

Catwoman is currently under development by EA's UK Studio and is produced by the team responsible for the best selling Harry PotterTM titles from EA GAMESTM. In addition to Catwoman, EA also holds the rights to produce games based on Superman. The Catwoman game is scheduled for release alongside the motion picture in summer 2004 for the PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system, the XboxTM video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCubeTM, Nintendo Game Boy® Advance, and PC CD-ROM.
