About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

Vote For The New 'Roma Victor' Logo

by Judy on Aug. 11, 2004 @ 7:17 p.m. PDT

Roma Victor is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) based on the Roman Empire, circa 180AD. Roma Victor features social interaction on a massive scale, freestyle and mission-led gameplay, one on one combat in the Coliseum, tactical warfare on the battlefields of Europe and a deeply rich and varied non-combat crafting and skill system.

“We've been impressed with the standard of entries and narrowing down a shortlist of finalists was tough,” commented Kerry Fraser-Robinson, RedBedlam’s President & MD. “I’d really like to thank everyone who entered for their effort and with the help of the Roma Victor community I'm sure we'll pick a great winner.”

The poll will be available until midnight 14th August 2004 and the winning logo will be announced during September. “It will take time before we can unveil the new logo as the winning entry is still likely to require manipulation to ensure that the logo fits well with the website and other materials”, added Nick Witcher, Communications Director at RedBedlam. He added, “I wish all the finalists good luck and we’re looking forward to presenting the winner of the competition with a replica 2nd century Gladius Sword embossed with their own design, which will of course become the new official Roma Victor logo.”

Roma Victor will launch early in 2005, allowing tens of thousands of players to shape their own virtual Roman Empire, RedBedlam is to announce a call for more testers in the near future.
