by Rainier on Oct. 3, 2005 @ 3:09 a.m. PDT

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced today the arrival of Go! Sudoku on PSP this December. Based on the Japanese number puzzles that have taken the world by storm, Go! Sudoku will be your lifelong Sudoku companion with a totally fresh new look and playing experience for Sudoku experts and novices alike.

You'll never be waiting for a new puzzle with Go! Sudoku as it comes fully loaded with 1,000 brand new puzzles and will have additional puzzles available for download.

Challenge yourself with four levels of difficultly from easy to fiendish. Relax with a quiet Sudoku challenge or experience the first ever multiplayer Sudoku competitions. Complete with animated background themes, time goals, music and sound, this is the game that introduces PSP to serious Sudoku players - on the Go!

For the first time Sudoku is no longer a solitary pastime - Go! Sudoku offers players a multiplayer option where up to four people can enjoy a range of games including pass, versus or battle for competitive or collaborative gameplay. There is music to help get your brain in gear, and, for that personal touch, players can set the games against their favourite photographic backdrop.

To get beginners started, Go! Sudoku has tutorial, training and an innovative help system for novices that gives players five chances to input the right number in each puzzle - but after that players are on their own.

Go! Sudoku features:

  • Game Share - send your PSP owning friends up to 5 Sudoku puzzles to try
  • Save your scores with Best Times and merge records wirelessly with other players to see who really is kingpin
  • Personalise your Sudoku experience with pictures from your photo directory
  • Enjoy animated 'elemental' grid backdrops covering air, earth, water and fire
  • Test your nerve with the Time Challenge Mode
  • Keep it fresh with downloadable content. Set for launch in 2006, the downloadable content will include brand new puzzle packs

So - ditch the pens and pick up a PSP to enjoy mind-challenging gaming at its very best - Go! Sudoku exclusively on PSP this Christmas.
