SEGA America today released Shadow The Hedgehog for console and Sonic Rush for NDS. Shadow the Hedgehog takes to the streets with a huge array of weapons and vehicles in search of his true identity, while Sonic Rush is a fast-paced side-scrolling adventure

Shadow The Hedgehog

With the planet under attack from a fierce alien force that threatens the future of Westopolis, government troops are battling anyone they can't trust. In order to secure the Emeralds, Shadow must play both sides…but the path he takes will be completely up to you! Every decision you make affects Shadow's future and ultimately his destiny. Uncover the truth and discover who your friends - or foes - really are!

"By giving Shadow a game of his own, we're able offer a unique gameplay experience while expanding the boundaries of the Sonic universe," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America. "New play mechanics allow Shadow to wield weaponry and use vehicles, while giving players a real sense of control over the story as it unfolds – they decide if Shadow is a hero or a villain."

Featuring a branching story mode with multiple endings and a fun 2-player competitive mode, Shadow The Hedgehog is designed to offer substantial replay value. Fans will also enjoy cameos by several Sonic characters, including Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Dr. Eggman.

Shadow The Hedgehog is rated "E-10" for ‘Everyone age 10 and up' by the Entertainment Software Review Board, and is available at retailers nationwide for an MSRP of $49.95.

Sonic Rush

The fastest hedgehog in the world is now pairing up with a mysterious character named Blaze the Cat. This dynamic duo heads out in search of the powerful and dangerous Sol Emeralds to ensure that they do not fall into the wrong hands. In their quest, Sonic and Blaze must battle all-new enemies, and as they do, ripple effects will change the events of their worlds' inhabitants.

"Sonic Rush combines the gameplay finesse and level design of the classic 2D Sonic titles with fully 3D character models, bosses and effects," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America. "The dual screen playfield on the Nintendo DS makes it easier than ever to follow the action, and the stylus works perfectly with the traditional Chaos Emerald minigames."

Journey with Sonic and Blaze on two separate adventures that intertwine. The storylines and outcomes will differ, keeping you in suspense while doubling up on the fun! Also featuring a 2-player battle mode, 3D bonus stages and unlockable secrets, Sonic Rush is a game that will stay fresh for players long after the game credits have rolled.

Sonic Rush is rated "E" for ‘Everyone' by the Entertainment Software Review Board, and is available at retailers nationwide for an MSRP of $34.95.
