"Kameo: Elements of Power," the broad-appeal, fantasy action-adventure title being developed by Rare Ltd., will be released this holiday season by Microsoft Game Studios exclusively for the next-generation Xbox 360. In "Kameo: Elements of Power," as a young Elf, Kameo must master her new ability to transform into mystical warriors and harness their powers to save her people from Thorn, the evil Troll king. Production for the animated adaptation will begin in 2006.
"Rare has created an incredible game experience in 'Kameo: Elements of Power' with a rich and compelling storyline, unique warriors, and engaging gameplay. We are excited to see the world of Kameo come to life on the silver screen through the work of Sunmin Park and Maxmedia," said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Publishing at Xbox.
"Rare and Microsoft have developed a stunning broad-appeal game, and I am thrilled to take the origins of 'Kameo: Elements of Power' from Xbox 360 to a new level of cinematic experience," Park said.
The animated feature based on "Kameo: Elements of Power" is a Maxmedia production and will be produced by Jungmin Ethan Park and Sunmin Park.
