'Ape Escape 3' (PS2) Content Creation Feature Revealed

by Rainier on Dec. 16, 2005 @ 2:42 a.m. PST

Ape Escape 3 will feature a minigame spoof on Konami's Metal Gear Solid game, under the title of Mesal Gear Solid: Snake Escape. Apart from that, Ape Escape 3 will also feature 2 new playable characters, tons of minigame, 400 monkeys to rescue and plenty more

Content creation is one of the hottest new aspects of video game play. MTV's Video Mods (music videos created from video game characters) and game titles like The Sims and Rollercoaster Tycoon allow players to create worlds of their own. What if they could create movies?

What would movies be like if you could replace humans with apes? Would Rose jump for a banana instead of Jack in Titanic? Would Humphrey Bogart's famous Casablanca quote change to, "Here's looking at you, chimp"? Would magic be quite the same in Harry Ape and the Sorcerer's Jungle?

This is the idea that Ape Escape 3 for Sony PlayStation 2 brings to reality.

Ape Escape 3 (PS2)

  • Ape Escape 3 marks the return of the troublesome piposaru apes. Take on the mischievous apes that are on the loose and up to no good, playing as either the brother Kei or sister Yumi who are determined to put an end to the ape's plans to rule the world

Ape Escape Academy (PSP)

  • Specter the ape formed the Ape Escape Academy to train monkeys to take over the world. In the collection of mini-games that make up the academy, players can work their way up through six school years by winning wacky mini-games
