'Zero Tolerance' (PS2/Xbox) Now Known As 'Urban Chaos : Riot Response'

by Rainier on Dec. 27, 2005 @ 8:12 a.m. PST

When in October Eidos revealed its FPS Zero Tolerance: City Under Fire it seemed to be a new product, but then as it turned out it was in fact the now defunct Argonaut Games' Roll Call. On Nov. 18 2005 we reported that Eidos was getting sued for Copyright Infringement in North America and had to explain its case before the U.S. Patent Office as Zero Tolerance was a 1994 Megadrive game with that same name, from developer Technopop. As a result Zero Tolerance is now known as Urban Chaos : Riot Response.

Originally developed by Argonaut Games Plc for PS2 and Xbox, Zero Tolerance is now being developed by a newly formed company, Rocksteady Studios, a London based company formed by Jamie Walker (former Creative Director, Argonaut) and Sefton Hill (former Head of Production, Argonaut) and boasts an extremely talented team of 18 professionals with a wealth of experience in the games industry.

A city in turmoil, overrun from the threat from organized gang crime, is in need of special help. The Mayor has declared a state of emergency and formed an elite counter-gang division of the Police Department: Unit T-Zero. In the middle of a full-scale riot, work with the emergency services in a desperate fight to prevent your city being brutalized by vicious gangs.
