'Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory' - Updated Demo Available NOW

Ubisoft has now released the official online demo for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, giving you the chance to check out the "Lighthouse" level, as well as tutorial and multiplayer map. 1. Minimum/Recommended specifications

Minimal Configuration:

Processor: Intel or AMD 1.4 Ghz
Operating System: Windows 2000/XP

Graphics Card: DX 9.0 compatible card with Shader Model 1.1

-Gamepad support:

Most gamepads with dual analog sticks are supported. Other gamepads may not be fully compatible with Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

2. Known Issues

  • In the advanced video settings, if you are using nVidia 66.93 drivers and you select the Enable Hardware Shadow Mapping option, the shadows will disappear with some NVidia video cards. ATI cards do not support Hardware Shadow Mapping.
  • Joystick axes cannot be configured.
  • Joystick disconnection while playing may cause bizarre behaviors.
  • For space saving purposes, the quality of some sounds have been lowered. These sounds will be at full quality in the final version.

2.3. Installing DirectX

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory needs DirectX 9.0c to run properly. To get the latest version of DirectX, please visit: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads

2.4. Windows Service Packs

It is recommended to install the latest service packs for all operating systems.

2.5. Known problems

- Using ALT-TAB during the game's intro sequence (logos, ESRB, etc) is not fully supported
