About Judy
As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

Activision and Viacom Settle 'Star Trek' Law Suit
by Judy on March 11, 2005 @ 1:49 p.m. PST
Activision and Viacom have settled their dispute over video games based on the "Star Trek" franchise. All lawsuits related to the dispute have been dismissed, but settlement terms were not disclosed. Activision sued Viacom in July 2003, claiming Viacom diminished the value of the "Star Trek" game license by not promoting the latest "Trek" series or making new "Trek" movies or TV shows. Viacom countered at the time that the suit was just a ploy to renegotiate the license.
