"Full Spectrum Warrior continues to be one of the most visually impressive games ever launched. It truly simulates the actions and reactions of a squad leader and his soldiers in hostile settings through simple and intuitive controls," said Peter Dille, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "Consumer response to Pandemic's modern blend of strategic and authentic squad-based combat continues to exceed our expectations and we're excited to introduce the experience to PlayStation 2 owners."
"The game delivers tactical and strategic squad combat not seen in today's popular military games and carries the genre to a new level of reality and entertainment." said David Todd, president and CEO of Mass Media. "We're thrilled to have an opportunity to work with the brand and inject some new features not available on any other platform, providing more gameplay and story elements to this truly innovative and immersive game."
Those ready for the challenge must flank, suppress, smoke out and ultimately clear out the opposition, leading two infantry teams through a hostile foreign battlefield.
But that's not all. Players will also use different methods of route en cover to rescue fellow soldiers under fire, at times entrenched within an inch of their lives. In order to succeed, armchair soldiers
will need to rise to the constant pressures of life on the frontlines, while out thinking and out maneuvering enemies through 13 levels of intense combat. If communication skills are sharp, players can also enlist online and team up with a friend for Two-Player Co-Op gameplay, working together for peace and honor.
Developed by Mass Media Studios under the supervision of Pandemic Studios, Full Spectrum Warrior has shipped to retailers for a suggested retail price of $19.99.
