Groove Games has announced today that Digital Extremes’ highly anticipated first-person shooter, Pariah, has gone gold and has begun manufacturing. Created for the Xbox and PC, Pariah packs a punch with an in-depth storyline driven single-player campaign and robust multi-player action including a map editor that allows gamers to continually create new content for the game. Pariah will ship worldwide to retail stores the week of May 2nd.

Pariah focuses on a robust immersive storyline that weaves survival elements into the traditional run-and-gun style of first-person action games. <br><br>Jack Mason is a burned-out doctor with no will to live, that is, until he nearly dies in a transport crash. Now he and his infected patient are stranded deep within the most vicious prison sectors of a wasteland called 'Earth'. In sixteen hours an orbital platform will initiate a total biohazard containment procedure: 50-megaton yield, detonated above sea level, to cleanse the contamination.
