The Sims 2, sequel to the best-selling PC franchise, The Sims, swept the world by storm in September 2004 by quickly becoming the fastest selling PC game of all time with sales over 5M units worldwide to date. Developed by the award winning EA-Maxis studio, The Sims 2 Nightlife adds over 125 new objects and all new gameplay elements such as sending your Sims on romantic dates or out on the town with their friends.
The Sims 2 Nightlife introduces the new Pleasure aspiration which allows Sims to lead a life filled with fun and exciting moments. Players will be able to turn their nightlife fantasies into reality while interacting with the new downtown locals and may even run into exotic new characters such as vampires and fortune tellers. To create their ultimate after-dark environment, players will find loads of new objects including a Karaoke machine, poker table, electro-dancesphere and DJ booth. A first for the franchise, cars are available for Sims to head out on the town or to their jobs in style. Also new is the dating gameplay and attraction system which helps Sims scope out the scene for potential love interests. Whether a Sim is destined to find the love of his life or just out for a night of fun, it's sure to be a good time.
"We can't wait to see the stories the players start to tell about their experiences in The Sims 2 Nightlife," said Tim LeTourneau, Sr. Producer. "This pack gives players everything they need to expand their Sims' social life and experience an ultimate night out on the town."
The Sims 2 Nightlife will ship under the EA brand and is rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB. The game will ship on September 13 in North America. The Sims 2 is required to play The Sims 2 Nightlife. For the first time, players will also be able to experience The Sims 2 on PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and for all handhelds including PSP, NDS, GBA and mobile phones later this fall.
