'Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport' Takes Wagers In Retail Stores

Digital Jesters announced today the launch of its first multi-territory video game release, Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport for PC. Set in the near future when war has become society's definitive entertainment, Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport breaks the rules by introducing an innovative betting system into traditional first-person shooter gameplay, injecting new life into a predictable genre.

"Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport is the first original property that Digital Jesters is releasing both in North America and the U.K., and it represents both a stepping up for our company and the action genre as a whole," said Terry Malham, co-founder and commercial director of Digital Jesters. "I'm thrilled to finally let players experience our completed vision themselves, and we're proud to have this title serve as the first of many new releases we are planning for the future."

In Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport, modern-day gladiators fight for the entertainment of a populace manipulated by controlling corporate conglomerates, but you fight for something more significant: to uncover the mystery behind the murder of your family. To succeed, you will not only need to use ruthless battle tactics, but intelligently evaluate your opponents and wager on your potential success. Win the wager, and you'll be able to afford increasingly lethal and cutting-edge weapons and armor. Lose a conflict, and you'll be licking your wounds and be forced to scrape together additional cash to prepare for your next showdown.

"Gamers that are looking for something both stylish and original in a shooter will be blown away with the game we have crafted," said Roman Vincent, CEO of Kylotonn Entertainment and lead designer of Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport. "In addition to the novel gameplay, we've designed this game to make optimal use of the latest processor and graphics technologies, so it both plays and looks like something completely new."

Bet On Soldier: Blood Sport will be optimized to take full advantage of AMD's next generation 64-bit AMD Athlon 64 FX processor and AGEIA Technologies' revolutionary PhysX chip and NovodeX Physics SDK. For more information on Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport, please visit www.betonsoldier.com.

Developed by the French studio Kylotonn, Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport is now available at retailers throughout North America and the United Kingdom for the suggested retail price of $39.99.
