The latest issue of GameInformer has word that Midway is working on yet another title in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon will go back to its roots, unlike the RPGish MK: Shaolin Monks, and will feature the usual blood, gore and violence, a choice of 60 fighters, more than 20 fatality moves, Create a Kombatant mode to make your own character (like Soul Calibur 3), multiplayer and Konquest Mode. More details surely to come in the official announcement, but for now MK: Armageddon is scheduled for somewhere in 2006.
