Players take on the role of Tao, a young magic student living on Bente Island, who must travel on an incredible journey to save his family and fellow village people from an evil monster curse that turns people into stone. In order to break the curse, Tao must find the egg of the ancient monster that cursed his family. With that egg, he can return to the village and save his family and friends, although if Tao does not return by the next full moon, the curse will never be broken. Along his journey, Tao must learn how to master the art of spell casting, if he has any hopes to destroy the curse and save his people.
Maximizing the Nintendo DS dual-screen capabilities for a unique gameplay experience, players see and feel the art of magic and fantastical adventure as they progress through the game. Casting spells by using the DS touch pad, players battle dozens of monsters in order to save the village; compete in side quests to raise their reputation with the townspeople; and collect eggs and training monsters to assist in battles along their journey.
