'Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45' Collector's Edition Announced

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is a WWII standalone follow-up game to the Red Orchestra mod, that introduces new gameplay and features. Bold Games and Tripwire Interactive announced that Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is being re-released as a Collector’s Edition with a host of additional features such as new maps, vehicles, weapons, and several bonus items.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is now a full-featured, stand-alone World War II game that brings players to the frontlines of Eastern European combat during the height of World War II. Players choose from 28 infantry weapons or crew one of 14 detailed vehicles on the Russian Front between 1941-45. The combination of roles across more than one dozen maps, based on real-world locations and battles, allows Red Orchestra to finally achieve its goal of delivering a full first-person, World War II infantry and vehicle combat simulation.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 Collector’s Edition brings players to the frontlines of Eastern European combat during the height of World War II. Players can choose from 30 infantry weapons or crew one of 16 detailed vehicles on the Russian Front between 1941 & 1945. Featuring several different roles for players to assume, as well as 15 maps, Red Orchestra delivers an intense World War II infantry, vehicle, and combined arms combat simulation.

The new Collector’s Edition Includes:

Red Orchestra originally won the NVIDIA $1,000,000 Make Something Unreal Contest. Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is a new game, built on Epic Games~R Unreal Engine 2.5, that introduces vastly new features and game play. Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 features 13 authentic environments, multiple battlefield responsibilities, 24 authentic weapons, and the most realistic soldier and tank models of any World War II shooter. A complete set of editing tools will be included for players to create custom modifications and levels.

Using Navarre as its exclusive distribution partner to retail, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 Collector’s Edition will be available through North American retailers such as Best-Buy, Target, Future Shop, and others soon, at a suggested price of $19.99.
