Alienware's CEO Nelson Gonzalez has just revealed that the high-end gaming rig maker has been bought by Dell, in an effort to improve Alienware's supply chain, offer more flexible and affordable financing, allow Alienware to make deeper investments in technology innovations, bold and winning product designs, better product support/service, and boost Dell's standing among PC enthusiasts. Industry analysts recently argued that such a deal would not be a good move on Dell's behalf since Alienware's exotic high-end machines are less effective to assemble than Dell's mainstream units.
