Ensemble lets us know that Age of Empires III v1.07 is in final testing and will be available in a matter of days. Included in the patch will be a new random map called the Unknown, which longtime Age fans will remember as a custom random map that was released for the Age of Kings expansion pack many years ago. This one random map generates a wide variety of map types for you to play on, so you never quite know what you're going to get.

Age of Empires III is set in 1500 A.D. and chronicles the Age of Discovery that started around the time that Columbus discovered the new world. The single player campaign follows American history up through 1850, and in multiplayer mode, you'll be able to choose from among eight different civilizations, and there will include free-for-all and team-vs-team matches for up to eight players.blog comments powered by Disqus
