Cossacks II: Battle for Europe (PC)
CDV Software Entertainment USA has shipped Cossacks II: Battle for Europe to North American retail today. Battle for Europe, the standalone expansion to the critically acclaimed Napoleonic-era RTS, Cossacks II: Napoleonic Wars, builds upon the original game by adding new battlefields, missions, campaigns and expanded gameplay modes.
Developed by GSC Game World, Cossacks II: Battle for Europe builds upon the realism of the original game, along with adding a variety of new gameplay features. In the game, players can choose from nine nations, including three new additions – Spain, the Great Duchy of Warsaw and the Rhine Confederation. Additionally, 10 new battlefields, four new campaigns, six new skirmish missions and three new historical battles (Waterloo, Leipzig and Borodino) offer an expanded Cossacks experience in both single- and multiplayer play. An improved A.I. lets players develop deep strategies utilizing real-world formations made famous during the Napoleonic Wars. New enhancements to the Battle for Europe mode will have fans playing the role of economist, diplomat and general to become the supreme ruler of 19th century Europe. Battle for Europe, Battle and Skirmish modes will all be playable online over LAN or the Internet.
Hard Truck: Apocalypse (PC)
As part of their recently announced co-publishing agreement, CDV Software Entertainment USA and Buka Entertainment have shipped Hard Truck: Apocalypse to North American retail stores today. In the game, players will take on the role of driver, combatant and trader as they attempt to survive in a post-apocalyptic world of brigands and battles.
Developed by Targem Games, Hard Truck Apocalypse is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland of diesel and dust, where bandits and mobsters rule the last remaining cities, controlling all vital trade routes and destroying any hope of a return to a lawful world. It's up to the player, as the driver of a heavy transportation truck, to blast through the mayhem and deliver needed supplies to desperate towns. The player's life depends on them becoming the ultimate offensive driver, while making sure they keep their trucks in top operating and fighting condition. It's kill or be killed in the world of Hard Truck: Apocalypse.
