The top four duelists from the U.S. tournament will win valuable prizes and advance to the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Finals in Tokyo, Japan August 5th - 6th for a chance to compete against the best players from around the globe and a shot at being crowned World Champion.
The U.S. Finals of the 2006 Yu-Gi-Oh! video game tournament will be conducted at the Konami booth (#4335) at Comic-Con on July 23rd, during the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM. Competitors will be using the Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters World Championship Tournament 2006 video game for the Game Boy Advance. The game contains more than 2,000 cards to collect and new modes of play that let duelists hone their skills to perfection. New modes such as Theme Duel, Duel Puzzle and Limited Duel puts players into special situations they might encounter in head to head action, expanding their abilities and preparing them for tournament play. One on one duels are supported through the Game Boy Advance Game Link cable.
"Yu-Gi-Oh! is one of Konami's most recognized properties, and we are giving back to the game's dedicated community with a tournament that lets players test their skills and meet other duelists from around the country," said Wyman Jung, Associate Product Manager at Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "The Comic-Con Expo in San Diego is the perfect venue for us to crown our U.S. finalists, letting them compete and take part in the Yu-Gi-Oh! festivities before sending them to Japan to compete in the World Finals."

Konami today announced details of the United States Finals of the official 2006 Yu-Gi-Oh! video game tournament. Sixteen players selected from a nationwide online contest will compete at the Comic-Con International Consumer Expo in San Diego Calif. on July 23rd for the U.S. title.
