Guitar Hero II’s public screening session runs as part of the EIEF between 11:00am and midday on Tuesday 22nd August, at the Odeon, Lothian Road.
The game’s track list remains confidential, but an early selection will be demonstrated at the event.
Tickets for the screening are free, and issued on a first come, first served basis from any Gamestation in Scotland. A limited allocation of tickets will be available from the Odean, Lothian Road, on the day.
Industry attendees of the previous evening’s EIEF party at the Jam House on Monday 21st August will have the opportunity to win a place playing Guitar Hero II on-stage in front of a packed audience. “The Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival is all about celebrating the cultural impact of games – and Guitar Hero is perhaps the finest example of this,” says Dave Noble, business development, RedOctane. “Never before has a game boasted such widespread appeal, with everyone male, female, young and old able to enjoy rocking out with the included Guitar Hero SG controller. Edinburgh is the perfect place to introduce the sequel, and we can’t wait to see the reaction from both industry and consumer alike.”
The Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival takes place at the Royal College of Physicians on Monday, August 21st, and at the Odeon, Lothian Road, on Tuesday, August 22nd. For more information, please go to www.eief.co.uk.
A European release date for Guitar Hero II will be announced soon.
