Eidos Spikes Three Titles In Japan

Eidos today announced that it has inked a publishing partnership with Japanese pub/dev Spike Co. Ltd., whereas Spike will be responsible for publishing and distributing three Eidos titles in Japan.

The titles include: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend, Commandos Strike Force and Urban Chaos: Riot Response for all available NTSC and PC formats.

“Eidos is pleased to have partnered with the talented group of people at Spike Co. in Japan,” said Bill Gardner, President of Eidos Inc. “This partnership marks a new, strategic approach to publishing in the highly important Japanese market.”

“It is an honor to publish world-renowned Eidos titles like Tomb Raider and Commandos,” said Mitsutoshi Sakurai, C.E.O of Spike. “We think that this will be a start of a strong and mutually beneficial relationship between our companies.”

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend is currently available for the PS2 and the PSP, the Xbox 360 and Xbox, and PC. The game will ship for the Nintendo DS, Gamecube and GBA this Fall in North America. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend has sold nearly three million units worldwide.

Commandos Strike Force gives players an intense World War II stealth combat experience. Gamers will play as one of three elite commandos trained to do what armies cannot. This is the fourth title in the Commandos series, and marks the debut of the series from a first person perspective. Commandos Strike Force will be available for the PS2 and PC.
